IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION

~: IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION :~
Education is the third eye of the person. With the outward eyes you can see the world openly but you cannot realize the secret teachings of the nature which come only through Education. Educated person always looks smart and smiling. Education should not be the source of earning bread but its aim should be only to have good character and to have the quality of judging good and evil. Only educated person can save himself from vices. If one learns, one should behave accordingly, otherwise education is waste. Education is knowledge which makes a person clean, thoughtful and able. Learning should not be for earning Educated person is always in a better position to face any difficulty. Education makes a person pure and perfect, he cannot be cheated by others. Only those are living who are Educated, rest are more dead than alive. (Sas lene walla murda). Persons who are not able to sign even and put the Thumb Impressions on important documents like relating to land holdings, loans, possession of properties etc. have suffered a lot, they have been dominated, ill-treated only because they are uneducated and have always remained dependent on man. This world is considered as man dominated. In our country, where the ratio of literacy is very small and majority of the population lives in villages, spreading education is very difficult task illiteracy cannot be wiped out only with the Government legislation. It requires contribution from every citizen. Media must play an important role and spread the message amongst the masses to take an initiative in the process of acquiring minimum education. The Government may make education compulsory and free for all the primary levels. All educated persons should consider their top most duty to teach minimum one person in the neighborhood. Young girls must especially, wake up and take up teaching the poor uneducated ladies so that they cannot be cheated by any one Post offices and Banks must Insist upon all persons while opening an account, to sign the documents instead of putting their thumb impressions. Spread of Education requires unending efforts not only on the part of the Government, but we all must, resolve to eradicate illetracy from our country at any cost and make India the country of literacy which ultimately will be helpful in the speedy development of the country in all directions. India's greatest problem is the growth of population at a very alarming rate; no development can pace with it. Through education the people must be made to self realise the importance of a small family "With-out" education, growth of population cannot be controlled. The slogan of "Hum Do aur Hamare Do" should be brought to the notice of common man living, even in a remote village of the country. For the success of democracy, Education is a must.
