Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Sangh Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh (UTs) organized program in Reasi.

Today on Date: 28-08-2022 BJMS Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh (UTs) Working Committee organized press conference under the Leadership of Shri. Shant Prakash Jatav Ji National President BJMS, in Jammu regarding the issues raised by  its J&K UT body in Annual General body meeting held at Reasi on 27th of August  2022, in Presence of Shri. Shri Girish Juyal, former National pracharak Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Shri Devendra Sharma National Vice President Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Sangh, Smt. Sudipti Singh National Spokesperson Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Sangh, Shri Zeeshan Qureshi in the presence of State General Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Sangh. On 27 August 2022 in Reasi. was held Jammu Kashmir UT & Ladakh UTs President Shri. Gunjan Sharma Ji and Districts Committee members at Sanjog Ghar Reasi. A Large no. BJMS leaders from different parts of UT participated and put their view points.

The participants who spoke on this occasion mainly laid focus on the issue of welfare of the labor community. Main discussed held on the Issues of construction workers in Railways companies in Katra Banihal section. Issue of no proper pay as per wage rate approved by some companies, No PF deduction in many companies and if deducted there is no proper registration and issuance of ID is allotted to labour. After completion of project there no proper final settlement is being made as per labour law. Max recruitment is made from out of J&K and less share given to locals.

There is also non cooperation from administration and also from local elected representative for their vested interests. Team of BJMS Reasi demands the visit of labour Commissioner and Commissioner Provident Fund to the area to know and facilitate the issues for the welfare and cause of labour class.

There is provision corporate social responsibility (CSR) for major companies working in area to do the welfare work in the surrounding area. CSR is purely for the areas near the project under construction, but no such work has been done in any area and there is no expenditure under CSR. Companies should take responsibility under CSR for surrounding villages, it will also generate employment in concerned village.

There are many companies who are working whole heartily for the welfare of labour class and sincere toward to their work and did excellent work. BJMS appreciate the work of AFCONS  on the world highest bridge between Kouri and Bakal on Chenab river. Rahi infra at Reasi is also working excellently.

BJMS also appreciate Aluwali constructions, working for AIIMS construction at Samba, and also appreciate Vishav Samudra constructions working for express way in Samba.

One of the most important and burning issue is the demand for regularization of daily rated workers in different departments viz PHE, Power, Forest, Police (SPOs), Home guards etc. It is a serious matter and need to be considered. MGNREGA being the job oriented scheme and provided jobs to the number of youths but these youths are on roads and protesting for their rights induct in main stream department that is RDD. The scheme is not functioning properly and cannot be fruitful till the issue of the striking employees is sort out properly.

Mr Jatav heard these all issues patiently and assured to solve them by taking these issues with the concerned and he further assured that he will take up all issues with Hon’ble LG,  at UT level and will also take up  at centre level. J and K UT president Sh Gunjan Sharma endorsed all genuine issues and thanks the visiting dignitaries for sparing time to visit Jammu and Kashmir UT. Others who spoke on the occasion include Ashok Sarotia President BJMS district Reasi, Surjit Singh President BJMS Udhampur/Ramban and many other prominent leaders of labour class.
